~day trip to universal studios singapore [1]~

Since i have a week to kill before i start my work back (lazy to explain about the 1 week leave) and Izam is off shift for 4 days, we suddenly had only 24 hours to decide where to go for a short holiday. And in the end we chose singapore with the main reason to go to USS. And another reason to make full use of our passports before they expired.

It was supposed to be a 2-day trip but it was shortened to 1 because Izam had an event to attend.

And so in that very last minute, i managed to book our USS tickets, our Air Asia return tickets (cheapest i can find) and changed some RMs to Sing dollars.

We departed from LCCT at 6.05 am. And i was truly surprised seeing the huge crowd of people at the terminal, at that hour. Imagined a really packed McD at 5 am.. Btw, we drove and parked there, we didn't feel like troubling anyone since we need to leave home around 4ish am.

No wonder some said that LCCT is now turning into puduraya. Huhu

After having a quick breakfast, and a few annoying dramas (we turned up at the wrong gate because i didn't know there are 2 separate gates for international flights. 1st time flying international with AA, forgive me.. And there was a seriously long queue in front of the departure gate that i thought we were surely gonna miss the flight. Luckily we went to the front and asked and it turned out the queue was a tour group departing for Manila. Haruskah beratur depan gate??? There were a few people who also told the guard that they nearly missed their flight because of the queue..sheesh go and huddle somewhere else la wei) we errr boarded the plane.

We didn't make it to perform our Subuh prayer at LCCT, so we performed it on board the plane. :)

Despite all those, alhamdulillah the flight was right on schedule and we touched down at Changi Airport at 7.05 am. Do remember it was a last minute plan hence i haven't got time to study a lot about Singapore. The first thing we did was (well, after grabbing a few brochures on Singapore hahah) to sit down at Starbucks because Izam wanted a hot choc and a muffin (which surprisingly cost only around S$10) and i wanted to get connected to the internet. After about 30 minutes of browsing for what i needed, we set off to the MRT Changi Station and bought 2 ezlink cards worth $22 each. Btw 1 thing that i had checked the day before was how much we needed to spend for our MRT rides, so that's why i topup another $10 value into each cards.

Since USS won't be opened for another 1 1/2 hours, we went to the Merlion Park first to do what a tourist would do hehe. It was on the way to the USS anyway.

We arrived at the USS just in time with the entrance's opening so without further ado, snap snap snap and fun fun fun...

Although it's the school holiday, the queues for each rides was no more than 10 minutes each. EXCEPT for the transformers 3D ride. Queueing for that alone took nearly an hour! But we queued indoors and the place was air-conditioned and there were lots of things to photograph and play with, so it was okay. Minus the backaches and cramped legs, of course. Anyhow the ride was awesome!! Despite me shrieking non-stop hehe buat malu je, budak kecik sebelah Izam pun diam jek. I thought it was a roller coaster ride so i started shrieking as soon as the car lurched forward. Trauma ditipu di disneysea huhuhu. I'm allergic to roller coaster rides, fyi.

Had our lunch at Goldilocks. Izam said the chicken was so-so but gave 2 thumbs up for the mashed potatoes.
